Nayong Pilipino, Philippines

Nayong Pilipino, Clark Free Economic Zone, Angeles City, Philippines

Nayong Pilipino is a Filipino Cultural and Historical Amusement  Park located at the Clark Economic Free Zone in Angeles City, Philippines.  It's miniature version of some of the regional provinces of the Philippines and its culture such as Cordillera Central Ilocos, Tagalog, Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao.
It could be more though, we have not covered all.  It featured also the replica houses of the three filipino heroes:  Emilio Aguinaldo, Jose Rizal and Apolinario Mabini.  The Park has just been transferred then from Manila.

Barasoin Church
A replica of the Barasoain church in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines.  Barasoain was derived from the word "baras ng suwail" which means dungeon of the defiant.  It is a Roman Catholic church also known as the Cradle of Democracy in the East.

Ifugao Village

Ifugao Region is in the northern part of  Luzon.  The famous Banaue Rice Terraces is one of the main tourist attractions in this landlocked province in the Cordillera Administrative Region.  The said terraces were hand-carved into the mountains 2,000 years ago to plant rice and was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras.

Si Malakas at  si Magands

Si Malakas at si Maganda (the Strong and the Beautiful) is a filipino myth and version of the Adam and Eve.  A long time ago, there was a bird who got thirsty and could not quench its thirst with the salty sea water.  The bird thought that some water was stored in the bamboo joints, it started to peck on the bamboo clumps.  As the bird pecked and pecked harder, a weak voice cried from inside. Frightened though but curious, the bird continued to peck. The bird dropped a rock on the bamboo when its peck was ineffective.  The bamboo was split in two and a man and a woman stepped out. The humans left hand in hand.  The bird got frightened with the appearance of the first human beings and realize had a role in their creation.

There are more to see in this Park that represent some of the beautiful places in the Philippines. Philippines consists of 7,107 islands.  The nearest airport is the Clark International Airport.  I suggest you just drive when you visit the place.  Clark was the previous Military base of the Americans. There are duty free shops around and five star hotels and casinos such as Holiday Inn and Hotel Stotsenberg.

There are so much to see in my beloved country.  I just got to visit a few.  I have not posted them all yet but should you be interested you could check out the places my family had visited in the Philippines.
