Walks in Madrid
Started the walk escapade from 10 am till sun down at around 8pm, yet unable to cover a few of the many interesting places to see in the central capital of Spain, the very elegant city of MADRID.
We started at the Gran Via station walking along the architectural street, Gran Via as well and made stops at:
Plaza del Callao
Plaza de Espana Sabatini
Gardens Plaza de Oriente
Plaza de Armeria
Royal Palace
Almudena Cathedral
Plaza Mayor
Museo del Jamon
Museo del Prado
El Reina Sofia
Calle Mayor
On the way back, not following what we did as shown in the video, I suggest to go to the Retiro Park and Plaza Cibeles instead or you could start the walk from Plaza Cibeles. It was a reget we missed these two popular places in Madrid.

Sant Agusti Hotel, Barcelona
Double Room with Breakfast
We had stayed at Sant Agusti Hotel during our stay for 2 nights in Barcelona-included in our Europe tour in 2018. The video speaks for itself I hope, if it is of your taste. It suited our budget, clean hotel, few steps to La Rambla street and restaurants, groceries... Breakfast not many choices but good. Staff were accommodating. They reserved cab for us for our 6am flight to Paris
stayed from 16~18 May 2018
To Picasso Museum, walked through the narrow streets in BARCELONA 17 May 2018
Picasso Museum is a must to visit when in Barcelona. It houses most of the complete works of Pablo PIcasso from childhood to adolescence as permanent collection.
After breakfast at the hotel, we walked to the museum through the narrow streets which took us 15 minutes and over with in between stops to take photos. We were at the museum before it opened.
No photography / videos allowed inside the museum.
BARCELONA WALKS: Gaudi's Casa Batlló, Shopping Street to Plaça de Catalunya
walked along the long avenue of beautiful buildings. Passeig de Gracia. This street in Barcelona is popularly known as shopping street as well. Gaudi's Casa Batlló and Cadafalch' Casa Amatler are a few of the modernism architectural style buildings, in addition to the neo-classical and Baroque style buildings that had been there for centuries, house branded items. Part of the Passeig de Gracia is in the district of Eixample where most of the modernist buildings were built.
The walk ended at the heart of the city, at Placa de Catalunya. It was the perfect time to visit the plaza with all the doves that makes the park livelier and lovelier.
