Boracay Island, Philippines: Glass Bottom boat tour/ April 2008

Our visit to Boracay Island in April 2008 minus the daddy.  We were still in Philippines then, Daddy has just started working in Singapore.  We flew with Seair for a 45 minutes to  1 hour direct flight from Clark to Caticlan.

Boracay is a small island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.  It is famous for its white sand beaches and destination for relaxation.  It was awarded as best island in the world in 2012 and 2016 by international magazines and agency.

Arrived at Caticlan Airport, we waited for the hotel's representative to take us to the hotel by boat.

Such a beautiful place.  We could stay here forever.

We played in the water first followed by lunch at a small eatery near our place.  We had stayed in a cheap but clean accommodation at Station 3 owned by an Australian.  The place was nice and the staff were accommodating.

We joined the Glass bottom boat tour where you could watch the nemos/fish under while the boat was running.

My camera was not that good, we hardly see in the photos the fish.

Let's just enjoy the water.  Such a wonderful island.

I hope you could see a bit of the fish now.

We stopped in the middle and had time to swim and snorkle.  I did not trust the water, we were provided a vest and snorkle equipment as well.

We could see different colours of the fish.  Too bad there was no go pro yet or we could not afford to buy a water resistant camera then.

Since we were staying at Station 3, we were the last to be dropped.  The crew were so kind they suggested to stay on the top for a better view.

The kids played sand after the tour, before we changed for dinner and night walk.

Boracay is lively and noisy at night at Station 1 and 2.  For those who prefers quiet evening, you could stay at Station 3.  I took a video of the place while were walking, still for editing though.

We had a buffet dinner at Boracay Regency Resort.
