We joined the cruise tour offered by Bateux Parisiens located at Quai de Montebello. We went down from the Pont Au double. The embankment is between the bridges Pont Au double and Petit Pont
Present price for the tour for one hour with tour guide to provide some information about the history.

We were so enchanted by the medieval scenery, with so much regret, we were unable to grasp all the guide had shared and talked about.

Pont Au double and the Cathedral from under the bridge.
Petit Pont. It links the 4th Arrondissement to the 5th Arrondissement within the Ile de la Cite. The bridge had been destroyed and reconstructed for 13 times since its first inception during the Galo-Roman times to mid of 19th century. Nearest Metro Station: Saint-Michel.

Cruise started upstream. On our left, a view of the French finest Gothic Architecture, Notre-Dame Cathedral (Our Lady of Paris). Notre-Dame is a historic Catholic Cathedral located in the 4th Arrondissement on Ile de la Cite of Paris, France. It is one of the largest Cathedral and most well-known church building in the world. Nearest Stations: RER B Michel Notre-Dame, RER C Michel Notre-Dame, Metro Line 4 Cite.
Approaching Pont de l'Archevêché or Archibishop bridge is the narrowest bridge in Paris, France.
What a marvelous building! Appreciating the incomparable talents of the earlier artists.
Pont Au Double. The bridge was first constructed and connected in the early 17th Century. It links those of 5th arrondissement- Quai Montebello/ left bank to the 4th arrondissement at Ile de la Cite of Paris, France.
Main purpose Francis I had been requested to build the bridge was to bring the patients from the 5th arrondissement to the Hotel Dieu Hospital located in the Ile de la Cite. Nearest Metro Station: Line 4 Cite or Saint-Michel.
Pont de l'Archevêché view going upstream. On the left is the Île de la Cité or Island of Cite. Notre Dame is situated on the said Island. The Island of Cite is one the two natural islands in Seine, Paris, France. One is Îie Saint-Louis.
Trying to get a view of Notre Dame while passing the Pont de l'Archevêché. Latter connects 5th arrondissement between Quai Montebello and Quai La Tournelle/ left bank to the 4th Arrondissement at Île de la Cité. Nearest Metro Station: Line 10 Maubert-Mutualité

Passing Pont La Tournelle. Numerous scenes of Highlander series were filmed along the quai Tournelle and under the bridge during the 90's. The bridge links Quai la tournelle and the Île Saint-Louis
Pont La Tournelle is decorated with a pylon and on top is the statue of Saint Genevieve, patron saint in Paris, France. The bridge is near the Metro station Line 7 Pont Marie.
Pont de Sully links the 4th arrondissement at Île Saint-Louis to the left-bank side. Before it was collapsed in 1872 due to corrosion of cables, Passerelle de Constantine linked the Île St Louis to the left-bank side.

This Pont de Sully at the other side, links the Île Saint-Louis to the right-side bank. Before it was destroyed in the 1848 revolution, Passerelle de Damiette linked the Île Saint-Louis to the right-side bank
The bridges were reconstructed and opened in 1877. The 2 bridges met on the island of Île Saint-Louis and known both as Pont de Sully
Pont Marie links the Quai Quai de l'Hôtel de Ville /right bank to the Île Saint-Louis. It is the counterpart of La Tournelle on the left bank. The bridge is located near the Metro Pont Marie Station on Line 7.
Pont Louis- Philippe is a bridge across the River Seine in Paris, France. It links the Quai Bourbon at the Île Saint-Louis with the Saint-Gervais neighborhood on the right bank. Nearest Metro Station: Pont Marie on Line 7.
There is another bridge, Pont Saint-Louis (no photo posted). It links the 2 natural islands in the Seine River of Paris, France. Nearest Metro Station: Cite on Line 4.

We were passing the Pont d' Arcole (unable to take photo of the bridge). Nearest Metro Sations: Hôtel de Ville lines 1 and 11
Hôtel de Ville situated on the right bank is a building housing the local administration in Paris, including the Mayor. This was where Charles de Gaulle made his famous speech through the window, appealing for the French Resistance to the Germans on 18 June 1940. He declared that the war for France was not yet over.
Approaching Pont d' Notre Dame with the view of Palais de Justice. The state justice is being held in this Palace. The bridge links the Quai de Gesvres to the Quai de la Corse on Île de la Cite
Inside the Palais de Justice, is Conceirgerie, a former prison now a museum. It was in the former prison the infamous Marie Antoinette was held before she was sent for guillotine.
Pont Au Change. The bridge links the Right Bank at the Place du Châtelet (public square) to the Palais de Justice on Ile de la Cite. The bridge is between the 1st and 4th arrondissement. Counterpart of Pont Saint-Michel that links the Left Bank to Palais de Justice. Nearest Metro Stations: Cite or Chatelet on Line 4.

Pont Neuf (Old bridge) is the longest standing bridge across the Seine River of Paris, France. Nearest Metro Station: Pont Neuf on Line 7.

Pont des Arts and the Institute de France on the left-bank side. Pont des Arts links the Institute of France ( Institute de France) to the central square of Palais du Louvre/ Louvre Museum and Pyramide
Nearest metro station to Pont des Arts: Pont Neuf on Line 7
Pont des Arts was popular for the love padlocks hooked onto the bridge by the tourists as a sign of unending love. Due to weakening structure, the padlocks were removed by the government authorities.
Passing Pont Du Carousel. The bridge links the Quai des Tuileries and Quai Voltaire
Pont Royal. Pont Royal is one of the 3rd oldest bridge after Pont Neuf and Point Marie. Nearest metro station : Tuileries on line 1.
Musee d'Orsay amd the Pont Royal. D'Orsay is a museum of Arts mainly of French artists with approximate period from 1848 to 1915.
Pont Royal links the Pavillon de Flore (a section of Louvre Palace) on the Right bank to the between rue du Bac and rue de Beaune. Both Rue du Bac and de Beaune are streets in the 7th arrondissements of Paris, France.
Musee d Orsay situated on the left bank of Seine River Paris, France; in between Pont Royal and Passerelle Leopold Sedar-Senghor. It a s museum of French Arts 1848~1915.

the next downstream bridge, Passerelle Leopold Sedar-Senghor. The bridge connects Musee d'Orsay on the Left Bank and the Jardin des Tuileries on the Right Bank The nearest Metro station is Assemblee Nationale. It is in the 7th Arrondissement of Paris, France.
Next downstream bridge Pont de la Concorde. The bridge connects rue d'orsay on the left bank and and Quai des Tuileries at the Place de la Concorde. We have photos taken at the Place de la Concorde and Jardin des Tuileries during our Europe trip in June 2015.

1700 mansion at the riverside, Palais Bourbon houses the French National Assemby.
Pont Alexander III. One of the few sculptures on the bridge, four gilt-bronze statue of Fames watch over the bridge provide stabilizing counterweight for the arch.
Nymphs of the Neva Relief could be found at the Pont Alexander III. One of the few sculptures on the bridge and serves as a memorial to France-Russian alliance
We could now view the Eiffel Tower
Pont d'lena is the bridge that connects Eiffel tower to Trocadero.
We passed three bridges after Pont Alexander III and before we reached Pont d'lena.
