SQ flight 18 Nov 2016, departed Singapore at 12:10am and arrived Perth International Terminal 1 at 05:20. We got to take video of our touch down at Perth.
We purchased local sim, Optus, at Perth Airport. AU$10 2gb data. Our company had arranged for our transfer to Pan Pacific Perth hotel.
It was too early, our room was not yet available. We left our luggage at the concierge and started to explore Perth. We walked from our hotel to Perth downtown.
Percy Button sculpture at Hay Street Mall |
Percy Button was a street entertainer doing acrobatics between 1920 to 1950 in this area. He entertained for a few shilling people who were waiting to see movies. He was often seen dirty. One day, a local paper company, The Mirror, cleaned him up and posted his photo on the paper. The Mirror offered a price for whoever could guess the identity of the neatly dressed up man.

We thought we could purchase some winter clothes at Target for our US trip a week after, approaching summer though in Australia. We were planning to cycle to Kings Park and around the park, however, we could not find the bicycle rental store. We had asked the locals, they said there was no rental shop nearby. It was at the google map though. It was getting warmer, we decided to go to Fremantle instead.
