We had stayed for two nights in Las Vegas at Best Western Casino Royale. Latter is along the Las Vegas Blvd S and near Venetian. On our last day, we had spent the morning walking on the strip from our hotel to as far as Excalibur. We did not go farther to Mandalay Bay. Most of the walking tour starts at the site of the famous sign "Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada", which is a block away from Mandalay Bay. The sign is the south end of the strip. Vegas strip starts at Wynn and the Fashion show mall, 10 minutes on foot to Venetian.
We drove to Grand Canyon the day before, 5 hours and more each way. The eldest was able to go around the strip, with her friend staying in Vegas, after our visit to Grand Canyon. I went around a bit also the night before... by myself... my husband was so tired and the youngest opted out too. The kids did not join us this morning walk. My husband and I had brunch at Bellagio.
Entire walk on Vegas strip is pedestrian friendly. From our hotel, we went inside the casino of Best Western. It was around 8am then, there were few players. Exit led us to the view of the Mirage, Forum Shops and Harrahs.
We walked to the Linq, all the way to the highest roller coaster in the world. The higher roller coaster was still closed when we were there. Along the way were bars, shops, sprinkle cupcakes, Ghirardelli, american food, beer and more. From there, we went inside Flamingo casino- just passing. The casinos in Vegas are like malls -you could easily enter and exit. Obviously, the places is livelier at night.
We crossed the pedestrian overpass that led us to Cromwell and Caesars Palace. Went up and down again to Bellagio. From the bridge, we could view the hotels along the Las Vegas Blvd S. The Paris Eiffel and the Globe were striking. We stopped at Bellagio for brunch.
My husband left me few minutes after brunch, he had to prepare for our check out. I continued walking...
Paris with the replica of the Eiffel Tower
Planet Hollywood with Globe
Aria

Hard Rock
Grand Canyon Tours office
MGM Grand
New York New York with the replica of the Statue of Liberty
Hershey's
Excalibur
I stopped at New York New York and took photos. From there we could view the Excalibur with castle exterior and lots of towers. Mandalay Bay was also overlooking. Pedestrian bridge links NY NY to Excalibur. I had stayed a bit at Excalibur for photo taking. There is a monorail from Excalibur direct to Mandalay Bay, about 3 minutes. Monorail from Mandalay Bay, the train stops first at Luxor then to Excalibur, about 7 minutes trip.
I didn't have energy anymore to walk back to our hotel, my family fetched me at the New York New York, UBER waiting area. We forgot to go to the famous sign for a photo. We bought some groceries at the Walmart in Vegas before we headed to Bakersfield, California, 5 hours drive plus stopped over at the convenience store.
