When we were preparing for our 2012 Philippine tour: Cebu and Bohol,  I have checked Mr. Google the best places we could go and explore in Cebu and Bohol.  For Cebu, there are two must see Resorts and one of them is the Plantation Bay Resort and Spa.  The other one was where we had stayed on the first day of this trip, Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa.  Both resorts offer day tour package should you find accommodation rate a bit expensive.

2nd day Philippine tour at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa/ Family Travelogue 18 November 2012

Plantation Bay Resort & Spa is located in Mactan, one hour from Cebu City.  The privately owned waterways is humongous, 11 hectars with so much offered activities: indoor and outdoor.

From Shangri-la Mactan, we drove for about half an hour to Plantation Bay.  There was no hassle on our check in, the colourful jeepney shuttle took us to our Lagoon Side Room.

We took a rest first before we made a quick tour of the resort.  We requested for two queen sized bed.  You could opt for a King size though.

We had the balcony and in a minute we could soak into the lagoon.

The man made lagoon is huge, we were not restricted to the area near our place.  We could dip anywhere.

Our mermaid daughter not getting tired of snorkeling.  It was getting late, the beach was not crowded.

We had a room service.  As shown, our youngest' favourite, Prawn Tempura.  I could say the best tempura I had tried.

We also had the filipino dish, boneless milk fish.

Daddy had the quarter roasted chicken.  The food was superb.  They must have employed one of the best chefs.

That was the end of our 2nd night/in Cebu.  A big day the next as we explored the resort.

I have yet to post our visit in 2008 where we had the Island hopping and walked around the three stations of the island by the beach.

Shangri-la's Mactan Resort & Spa/ Philippines Cebu and Bohol 2nd day/ Family Travelogue 18 November 2012

We were only booked for a night at Shangri-la's, check out at 12nn.  We could stay though until the evening in the resort but our next destination was equally magnificent as this resort.  The sun was up earlier than 6am.  We had the whole morning to make the most.  The pool was inviting and the man made beach with artificial reef and aid in coral regeneration was truly amazing.

Buffet breakfast at Tides was included in the hotel rate we had paid.  Breakfast was sumptuous.  I love the many choices of breads and egg omelette.

We had tried also the homemade ice cream.  Not cheap.

Off Shangri-la's Resort to Plantation bay Resort.  We really had a wonderful time and one night stay was enough to enjoy what the resort was offering that time.  We were heading to Plantation Bay Resort for another one night stay before we transfer to Cebu City.  It is almost half an hour driving from Shangri-la to Plantation.  And almost an hour from Plantation bay to Cebu City.
