Odaiba is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay, Japan. Among the attractions in this city are the extravagant buildings but indeed impressive: Fuji TV Building, Telecom Center and the Tokyo Big Sight. We did not visit the mentioned though, the city has many to offer.
It was the first day of our 5 days trip to Tokyo in March 2016, from 13Mar~18Mar. We had arrived at 9:30am at Haneda International Airport. We left our luggage at our hotel's luggage storage, check in was 3pm. We went around Akihabara. My daughter bought some anime stuff- her major purpose for this trip. After our lunch at Tempura Tendon Tenya, Akihabara Br, we headed to the futuristic city, Odaiba.

As per hyperdia, at Akihabara station, we looked for the JR Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi line bound to Isogo. Had we have difficulty finding the Metro/subway line, we could have asked the officials station at the turnstiles. As per below station timetable, we were to alight at Oimachi, 6 stops from Akihabara.
We then looked for the Rinkai line bound to Shin-Kiba. Our destination was after three stops.

And what are they:
We managed to see only a few... at least three:

The Rainbow Bridge connects Odaiba to Tokyo. It is a two story bridge designed as an expressway road for the Yurikamome line. Two walkways along each sides, apparently, for the pedestrians. The bridge glares its beauty illuminated at night.
And Yes... you are right! It is the Tokyo tower behind

It was quite cold since we arrived Tokyo this morning. And it was colder in Odaiba. My daughter right away said yes when I suggested we need to buy her a coat and a scarf as she was actually not fond of. We got the warmer stuff at GAP inside the Aqua City.
Decks Tokyo Beach, Odaiba, Japan |
Next to Aquacity Odaiba is the Decks Tokyo Beach. It is also a shopping mall with indoor theme parks such as the Tokyo Joypolis, Legoland Discovery Center, Mdme Tussauds wax and the Trick Art Museum.

I don't know what is this, something about maintaining the city green, I guess :)

We just passed the Decks while on our way to the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Why? Why DiverCity? Check it out...

Dinner at Akihabara station before we headed to our hotel.
Our room at Hotel MyStays at Ochanamizu, Tokyo, Japan. This hotel is eight minute walk to Akihabara town. There was a convenience store, Family Mart, next to the lobby and my daughter was so glad, we purchased most of our dinner here as there were many choices of Bento, sushi, and breaded food. We both do not fancy sashimi and noodles (unlike my hubby and the eldest). so I could only share fried foods for this trip.
continues to... Our snow fall experience at the foot of Mt Fuji the next day.
