Had no snow, we could have re visited the Lake Kawaguchi, take the Kachi Kachi Ropeway to the observation deck near peak of Mt Tenjo. From up there, a panoramic view of the Kawaguchiko and of Mt Fuji. Nevertheless, Mt Fuji was hiding... covered by snow and no where to see.

We wanted to take at least two rides at the Fuji Q Highlands (Amusement Park for the Brave) apparently, closed due to snow.

Check out our visit to the Fuji Q Highland in March 2014. We took two (2) of the crazy scary rides.
It was in the plan to visit for the first time the biggest lake among the five, Yamanakako. In Hirano, I could have a very nice view of Mt Fuji and the biggest lake.
Regardless of the snow, we still headed to Lake Yamanaka. We originally planned to go as far as Hirano, but when I saw the swan boats, we got off the next stop. I just found out just then we were at the Fujikyu Bus Terminal at Asahigaoka Yamanakako. It is an interesting place, opposite the Lake Yamanakako and Swan Boat terminal.
From the Kawaguchiko station, we took the Fujikyu railway train to Fujisan station (2 stops, Fuji Q Highland station the in between stop). From Fujisan, we waited for the local bus, Fujikyuko bus, to Hirano.

snow everywhere
My daughter asked me how long was the travel. When I said about 40 minutes, she right away took a nap as we were tired from the previous day activities. We arrived Haneda at around 10am from Singapore the previous day. We went around Akihabara and Odaiba City before we checked in, left our stuff at the hotel's luggage storage.
I busy myself sightseeing and took photos of a bit snowy path.

Some of the tidbits I bought at the Fujiyama Bazaar located at the first floor of the building.
In this place, it offers bus tour around Lake Yamanaka. There is also a Swan Lake boat cruising around Lake Yamanaka. Pier situated opposite the building. However, no use for the tour, nothing to see but snow and it was kind of dangerous to cruise, the boat was getting covered by snow.
